Incepted in 2010 and launched in 2012, Translate is a concept apparel and home textile design company in India which was founded with a vision to empower regional Ikat artisans and to transform the traditional handloom to contemporary outfits, home furnishings and accessories.

The primary focus of ‘Translate’ was also to revive the age-old traditional art of Ikat and bringing it to a larger audience through weaving, designing, producing and retailing, and thus creating awareness of India’s rich heritage in handlooms through this sustainable ancient art.
